Sarcelles: individuals enter the site of the future Digital Center, angry residents

On Monday evening, individuals entered the construction site of the future digital house, Station Numixs, located next to the University Institute of Technology of CY Cergy Paris University in Sarcelles, in a priority district of the policy of the city. This establishment, supported by the Roissy-Pays-de-France urban community (CARPF), should open its doors in early 2023 and will be aimed at all students, entrepreneurs and inhabitants of the sector.

“They entered a construction shed where they spilled soda and wrote an insult on a table”, specifies the office of the mayor of Sarcelles. “There was no theft of equipment, just disorder within this shed”, we confirm to the CARPF. The aglo adds that “there is no damage or impact on the continuity of the Numixs Station site”.

Crowds in the street of the IUT

The opportunity for residents, alerted by the noise, to deplore the crowds in rue Labourdette, a street in the Sablons district built in 2012 to open up the boulevard. It has been closed to traffic for several months on the Avenue Paul-Cézanne side. Access is only from the IUT side, via Boulevard Bergson. Asked about this, the mayor’s office assures us that “there were crowds long before it closed” and that it was precisely “these motorist problems” that motivated the municipality to close the street.

“Nothing has improved since the closure. It’s even worse now. We would have liked to be consulted, deplores a resident of the Sablons district, this Tuesday. Even in winter, dealers are there every night. They enter by the boulevard Bergson and park in the street which has become a dead end. As no one passes, they are not disturbed. In summer, it’s bamboola until 4 a.m., with canapes and a barbecue. The closure also led to the removal of around twenty parking spaces. We have to find real solutions. “Moreover, she adds, “more than a month ago, the gate that bars the street fell on the side of avenue Paul-Cézanne and it has still not been put back”.

However, no link could be established between these gatherings and the intrusion on the construction site of the Maison du Numérique.
