KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) obtain the blessing of the shareholders to carry out the repurchase (buyback) shares traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange a maximum of 2,550,731,250 shares. This approval was obtained through the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (EGMS) which was held on Monday (20/12).
TOWR Deputy President Director Adam Gifari said the number of shares to be repurchased is equivalent to 5% of the total issued and fully paid capital of the company.
“Buyback shares will be exercised within the next 18 months since the approval of the shareholders is obtained,” said Adam at a virtual TOWR public expose, Monday (20/12).

In the last 3.5 years, TOWR has conducted two programs buyback share. Agreement buyback the first was obtained on August 10, 2018 and the second on May 5, 2020.
From the results of the share buyback until the end of November 2021, TOWR owns 1,215,685,200 shares treasury or equivalent to 2.38% of the total issued and fully paid capital. Therefore, buyback the shares to be exercised by TOWR will further increase the number of shares treasury company.
