Chief Paul Owens of Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Public Safety told News5 that he believes Sergeant Shendi will be a huge boost for the police department and the entire campus.

Shendi said campus safety will be one of her primary messages to students.

Shendi said, “We are very interested in connecting with students, visitors and faculty here, but not only with leadership, but we are very keen on patrols. We have students here from 102 different countries, and other things here that may be different for them.”
