Number: You have just been chosen to be the face of the Italian brand Intimissimi, how was your meeting with the label?
Sarah Jessica Parker : I love the brand, its creations, but also the strong message it sends to women with this campaign, a good way to show that everyone should be able to make the choices they want and which are like them. It is, I hope, a source of inspiration for all those who want to tell their own story.
From the beginnings of Sex and the City twenty years ago, until today with this Intimissimi campaign, through your career and your family life, you have always returned the image of an independent and strong woman. , how do you live this role of role model for thousands of women around the world?
I try to believe in myself, but I think it’s really important to know how to challenge yourself when you need to. It’s always stimulating to set new challenges and put yourself in danger. Even if we are not always aware of it, I believe that a clever cocktail of self-confidence mixed with a dose of doubt can be a very effective engine to move forward! Contemporary society places great demands on women. It is extremely difficult for them to combine a professional life and a family life while having time for oneself. Like everyone, I am faced with this dilemma, knowing that I am privileged. Even though I love my job, the happiness of being a mom is indescribable. I think for many to find the right balance is complicated, but it is definitely worth fighting for mindsets to change.
Why did you choose to entrust us with your addresses in New York?
What does this metropolis inspire in you? For me, the eight places I evoke all reflect a different face from this unique place in the world whose energy and authenticity correspond to me so well. Each of them illustrates a particular way of apprehending its legend, its intimate personality, its colors … I love New York deeply, I know that I will never cease to be amazed by contact with this city and by myself there. feel at home.

Bibliothèque – JEFFERSON MARKET LIBRARY
The history of this former civil court in Greenwich Village is very interesting. Victorian Gothic style, the building has a very beautiful room for children, a huge space. It’s an old building with creaky floors and lots of light. There are never too many people. It is the perfect place to spend a pleasant and studious moment.

Shopping – LOWER EAST SIDE
I love these streets in south-eastern Manhattan for their permanent effervescence and their places steeped in history… It is a lively and bohemian district that changes rapidly but remains deeply New York. I love to do my shopping there. There are vintage shops or young designers, as well as an outdoor food market and organic stalls.

Museum – MOMA
The MoMa houses one of the most beautiful permanent collections in the world, but it also presents avant-garde temporary exhibitions. It is a place that inspires me and in which I feel at home.

Walk – WEST VILLAGE
With its unmissable little brick houses, so typical, this district is really the most cozy in all of Manhattan. Above all, I like its calm and its cozy atmosphere, very different from that of other neighborhoods. I often come for a walk there to take my mind off things, with no particular destination in mind.

Musée WHITNEY MUSEUM
Here is another irreplaceable museum of the Big Apple. The new Whitney, imagined by Renzo Piano, first of all has an architecture that I find magnificent, but it is above all a place to which I never tire of returning because the exhibitions are so rich that I do. always new discoveries by American artists.

Histoire – WASHINGTON HEIGHTS
Washington Heights is a neighborhood located north of Manhattan whose atmosphere I love. In recent years, it has particularly changed. Among the small nuggets it houses is a museum of Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese art and a library (The Hispanic Society of America) or the oldest mansion in the city (the Morris-Jumel Mansion).
