“Sarah Ferguson’s Heartfelt Tribute to The Queen and Her Role as a Mother”

Despite their split, Sarah Ferguson still lives with Prince Andrew in Windsor, along with the last of The Queen’s corgis. The ex-couple still get along well. Ferguson also praises her ex-mother-in-law in ‘The Daily Mail’. “The Queen was great. She was more of a mother to me than my own mother. One of the reasons I am a good mother myself is because my mother was not present in my life. She left me when I was twelve and moved to South America. So I know very well what it is like to grow up without a mother.”

Ferguson is a passionate writer, but she considers her role as a mother one of her best jobs. “You can handle a lot if you do it with love and passion, like writing. I am a passionate author and love my job but one of my best jobs ever is being a mother. I am very present in my children’s lives. When my children were little I spent a lot of time with them. I focused on their lives and listened carefully to them so that they would better understand themselves and their feelings.”
