Sarah Ferguson deletes Prince Andrew’s posts from her Instagram account

Three messages that British Prince Andrew shared on his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson’s Instagram page on Saturday evening were removed shortly afterwards. It is not known why the Duchess of York initially shared her ex’s posts on her page and then removed them again.

In the three posts Sarah shared on her page on behalf of Andrew, Andrew looked back on his time as a Marine in the Falklands War in the early 1980s. He seemed to draw a parallel with the war in Ukraine and stated that “war is the inability to keep peace”. Andrew, who served as a helicopter pilot in the Falklands War, also said he came back “a different person” from his experiences in the Anglo-Argentine conflict.

In the first Instagram message, Sarah Ferguson herself said that she had asked Andrew to look back on that period in his life after 40 years. Which the British prince, who recently made a million-dollar deal in a civil lawsuit about the sexual abuse of the minor Virginia Giuffre, apparently did with great pleasure and detail in the following posts. In it, he told, among other things, how he returned from the Falklands with “much more maturity” and “understanding of human suffering and the fragility of life”.

Andrew also initially signed those messages with ‘HRH (His Royal Highness, or His Royal Highness, ed.) The Duke of York’, but soon removed that. In January, Britain’s Queen Elisabeth stripped her son of all his military honors, and Andrew also had to give up his ‘HRH title’ in the wake of his legal woes. Barely two hours later, all messages suddenly disappeared.
