LONDON, KOMPAS.com – Active police officers indicted for kidnapping and murder Sarah Everard. The 33-year-old woman disappeared on her way home in south London.
Sarah Everard’s body was found in a forest in Kent more than a week after she was last seen on March 3.
A member of the police on behalf of Wayne Couzens, will be arraigned in Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday (12/3/2021) on murder charges.
Durham University pays tribute to Everard, describing him as “Dear Graduate”.
Everard was last seen walking alone on the main road in Clapham at 9:30 pm local time. Police said it was unclear whether he reached his home in Brixton.
His body was later found by police conducting an investigation in a forest near Ashford, Kent, on Wednesday (10/3/2021).

City Police Commissioner Nick Ephgrave said the Everards family had been “informed of this development and remain supported by specialist officers”.
“I would like to pay tribute to Sarah’s family for their perseverance and patience through the most difficult days. We also mourn with them as this problem develops,” he said.
According to him the investigation will continue. The local police force will be supported by hundreds of officers from across the city, as well as colleagues in the Kent Police.
Before the charges were confirmed, Couzens, 48, was taken to hospital for the second time in two days after being found with deep head injuries.
He has been discharged and returned to his cell, authorities said.

Everard’s disappearance while walking home along the main road in Clapham on March 3, sparked a public debate about the safety of women in Britain.
Durham University vice chancellor, Prof. Stuart Corbridge said, Everard studied geography at St Cuthbert’s Society.
“Sarah is a popular and active member of our community of colleges and maintains a large Durham University friendship group,” he said.
“We join in praying for his family and friends at this very difficult time.”
City police say Couzens joined the police in September 2018. He originally served in the Bromley area.
In February last year he moved to the Command for Diplomatic and Parliamentary Protection. Its main role is as a security patrol, especially at various embassies in the capital.
On Thursday, a woman in her 30s who was arrested at the same time as Couzens on suspicion of aiding the perpetrator was released on bail in mid-April.
