Sarah Eckenfeld surprises everyone – athletics

In Kirchzarten, bad weather bothers the athletes.

The third athletics meeting this season in Kirchzarten suffered badly from bad weather: Continuous rain, strong gusts of wind and cold temperatures of only six degrees Celsius ensured extremely poor conditions for the participants in the running event. This was reflected in the performance, best times were not possible under these conditions.

Emilio Rudolph Conzales from USC Freiburg won the 100-meter run with 12.12 seconds ahead of Steffen Gaiser (SV Kirchzarten / 12.62). Third place went to another USC runner in Themo Bebiashvili. In the women’s category, Kerstin Bolz (TV Lenzkirch / 13.34) and Carina Rothweiler (LG Baar / 13.74) were two runners from the Black Forest. Third and fourth place went to Antonia Fay (USC Freiburg) and Magdalena Rilling (SV Kirchzarten). Bebiashvili (27.11) and Antonia Fay (USC Freiburg) were successful over 200 meters. Steffen Gaiser from SV Kirchzarten won the 400-meter run in 57.31 seconds.
