Skyttedal has registered the party “Folklistan” for the EU elections in June and for municipal, regional and parliamentary elections in 2026. The application was submitted to the Electoral Authority last week and was granted today, Tuesday. The registration also applies to the EU elections in 2029.
Skyttedal was the Christian Democrats’ top name before this year’s EU elections, but was kicked off the list in January after she had contact with other parties, including SD. Alice Teodorescu Måwe instead takes over first place among the party’s candidates.
In mid-February, Skyttedal announced that she was leaving the Christian Democrats and continuing as a non-party member in the European Parliament. She then said that her trust in KD leader Ebba Busch is spent. She did not answer whether she would remain in politics.
The list for the EU elections is not locked, but Skyttedal can register candidates going forward, writes TT. Sara Skyttedal has not announced what orientation the new party will have or what issues will be prioritized.
There has been speculation that the social democrat Jan Emanuel would be involved in the project, something he denies to Aftonbladet.
DN has applied for Sara Skyttedal.
