Hjalmarsson is suspended for a crosscheck on Germany’s Bottof Tavea in the group final on Monday, which Sweden lost 0-1.

According to the WC tournament’s disciplinary committee, the cross-checking was “directly against the neck of the German player and careless and cannot be tolerated”.
