São Paulo Loses Starting Defense Duo for Next Game in Campeonato Paulista

O São Paulo lost, for the next game of the Campeonato Paulista, its starting defense duo. Arboleda and Diego Costa are suspended and will not face Guarani, on Sunday, at 6pm (Brasília time), at Brinco de Ouro da Princesa, in the 10th round of the competition.

Arboleda received the red card after referee Vinicius Gonçalves Dias Araujo consulted the VAR. The defender was sent off for committing a harsh foul, as the last player before goalkeeper Rafael, and paralyzing Red Bull Bragantino’s attack. Following the play, the opponent’s striker Helinho was also sent off.

Without his starting defense duo, coach Thiago Carpini should use Alan Franco, who came on against Bragantino, and Ferraresi. The two started in the 3-1 victory over Água Santa, at Morumbis.

“A draw with 5 minutes to go would be great, in the end it was bitter”, comments Caio | Voice of the Fan
