O Santos negotiates with the federal government for the purchase of the CT Rei Pelé land.

“We are trying to reach an agreement with the government to pay in 30 or 40 years to add the land to the assets. To end this risk of losing every year”, says the president.
To prevent the CT Rei Pelé auction, Santos created the Santos Institute of Social Responsibility in 2020 and gained time. The goal now is to put an end to this mess once and for all.
The land was granted to Peixe on November 6, 1996, in an agreement with certificate nº 21/96 of the Secretary of Patrimony of the Union.
