Santos increased the proposal for Argentine midfielder Roberto Pereyra and is analyzing the signing of Venezuelan midfielder Tomás Rincón.
What happened
Santos insists on Roberto Pereyra and increased the salary and gloves proposal for the 32-year-old player. He is Peixe’s dream and has been negotiating for over four months.
O UOL heard that “the problem is no longer financial”. Santos arrived at the businessman’s request and is now waiting for the evaluation of the athlete and his family members.
Pereyra has similar offers on his hands and must decide the future in the coming days. He left Udinese (ITA) and hasn’t played since June 4th.
Another name evaluated by Santos is Tomás Rincón, a 35-year-old Venezuelan midfielder. He is free after failing to renew with Sampdoria, also from Italy.
Rincón is one of the free players analyzed by new coach Diego Aguirre. So far, there has been no proposal. The possibility was initially published by “Meu Peixão”.
Santos brought defender João Basso, left-back Dodô, midfielders Jean Lucas and Nonato and center forward Julio Furch. Peixe can only hire free athletes, and the registration period for the Brazilian Championship ends on September 15th.
