O Santos announced, this Friday, the signing of midfielder Rómulo Otero, 31 years old, who was at Aucas, in Ecuador. The Venezuelan player signed a one-year pre-contract, with the option to renew for another 12 months.

As you have not yet assumed the Santos Officially, president-elect Marcelo Teixeira has signed a pre-agreement with future hires. The agreement will be formalized in January, after a medical examination. The same has already happened with midfielder Giuliano, right-back Aderlan, left-back Jorge, defender Gil and striker Willian Bigode.
This season, Otero played 31 games for the Ecuadorian team, with four goals and another four assists.

The Venezuelan is an old acquaintance of Brazilian football. The midfielder had a notable spell at Atlético-MG, where he was state champion in 2017, in addition to being one of Galo’s main players in the Brazilian Championship that year.
He also had spells, less prominently, at Corinthians, between 2020 and 2021, and at Fortaleza, in the second half of 2022.
