In a meeting that has already become traditional, the IP and CFT Santo Tomás Rancagua inaugurated its 2024 academic year with the delivery of the management of this institution through its latest public account and the launch of the institutional book “Tú Podemos-40 years of our seal.”
The ceremony was attended by students, regional authorities and special guests, representatives of the Tomasian headquarters and from the headquarters, the academic general director of IP-CFT Santo Tomás, Pamela Castro Araya and the national director of the IP CFT Administration Area Santo Tomás participated. Tomás, Iván Curi Lisperger.
On the occasion, the rector of the headquarters, Manuel Olmos Muñoz, highlighted the most notable advances and milestones during 2023, the activities with both students and graduates, actions to link with the environment, among other achievements. “We can see good management of the headquarters, with new challenges to incorporate in 2024-2028, seeking excellence,” he said. “In terms of filling vacancies for registration, it was 9% more than requested and that places us number one nationally within Santo Tomás. We were the second headquarters that met admission goals. In the region they prefer us and we are very happy,” he added.
According to figures provided by the rector, at the regional headquarters more than 50% come from municipal schools, more than 70% graduated more than a year ago from Secondary Education and more than 60% of the students are women, “relevant data at the time to design the most appropriate support strategies and thus successfully face academic challenges,” especially when more than 87% of its students study for free.

One of the distinguished students, Nayareth Constanzo Pérez, is a Dentistry Technician student at this campus and believes that she has stood out for preserving the values that her parents have instilled in her and what she learned and ingrained during her educational process in Santo Tomás. “They (my parents) are a seven and they tried too hard to educate me and my brother,” she stressed. Furthermore, “the effort was worth it,” she said about the excellent results of her grades during the race.
