Santi Millán, the well-known presenter and actor, recently shared some amusing anecdotes on the latest episode of ‘Martínez y Hermanos’. One of the recurring themes in his stories is how people often mistake him for a famous football player, leading to awkward encounters with fans who believe they have recognized him.
During a conversation with Dani Martínez, Millán recounted a funny incident where a man was convinced he knew who Millán was, prompting the presenter to play along. “The guy was so sure he had recognized me, and I was thinking, ‘You have no idea who I am, really’,” Millán shared with a chuckle.
It was at this moment that the fan called out an unexpected name to Millán: “Pirlo, what are you doing here? Pirlo!” Despite the confusion, Millán clarified to the fan, in Italian, that he was not the former footballer from teams like Juventus or AC Milan. This was not the first time such a mix-up had occurred, as Millán revealed it had happened twice before. “Once you see me up close, you realize it’s not him, but from afar…” he joked.
The Stroke Incident at the Goya Awards
On a more serious note, Millán also shared a harrowing experience he had at the Goya Awards, where he witnessed a distressing moment involving Pedro Almodóvar, Miguel Rellán, and Alfredo Landa. “They were honoring Alfredo Landa with the Goya Honorary Award,” Millán recalled.
“I was there. Suddenly, in a shocking turn of events, Alfredo Landa suffered a stroke on stage and began saying things that made no sense. For instance, ‘I have perfumed it, please’. It was a moment of disbelief at what was unfolding,” he recounted
