Santanyí presents the winning books of its narrative, poetry and theater awards

The municipality of Santanyí presented this weekend the edition of the winning books of the narrative, poetry and theater prizes, in the framework of the festivities of Sant Jaume. The culture center of Ses Cases Noves has been the place chosen to be able to touch and browse for the first time the XXXVII Bernat Vidal i Tomàs Award, of Antoni Nomé, Esquerpes or Bucolic; The forest of the vampire, from Joan Goddess, winner of the fifth edition of the Antoni Vidal Ferrando Prize; and Zona Inundable, by Marta Barceló, which won the first call for the Vila de Santanyí Theater Award. The publishing house from Santanyi AdiA Edicions, directed by Pau Vadellhas been in charge of editing the three volumes.

Both the councilor for Culture, Ricarda Vicens, and the mayor of Santanyí, Maria Pons, have highlighted their satisfaction at being able to once again hold the award-winning book presentation ceremony. It was also wanted to highlight the “good health” of culture in the term and of these awards, and how culture “is and will continue to be a fundamental pillar of Santanyina society”. This year, the number of works presented reached 126 among the three awards, 53 manuscripts for Bernat Vidal i Tomàs, 33 for Antoni Vidal Ferrando, and 40 texts were received for the theater prize.
