SANTANDER, 13 (EUROPA PRESS)
The Santander City Council has received a total of 235 applications for aid for the digital transformation of companies, which represents a requested amount of 965,136 euros so that the budget will be supplemented, if necessary, so that no one who complies with the requirements run out of it since the initial game was 950,000 euros.
This has been announced by the Councilor for Employment and Business Development, Daniel Portilla, who has highlighted the good reception of the measure whose deadline for requesting aid ended on Friday the 10th with 235 applications.
“We are very satisfied with the response from companies and the self-employed because the initial game has been passed and that means that it is a necessary program and that it responds to the demands of employers,” he stressed.
Portilla recalled that the objective of this initiative is to promote economic activity and employment in the city and specified that the aid from the ‘Tildes Digit@les’ program will give priority to the protection, help and support of the productive fabric of the city to minimize the impact of the pandemic and support its reactivation.
They have the nature of a non-refundable grant, and will be used to finance up to 75% of the cost of implementing actions aimed at promoting the digitization of their companies. Among them is the development of sales or digital marketing platforms and the implementation of solutions that facilitate teleworking.
Digital solutions that facilitate the automation of processes and customer management, virtual and augmented reality applications and devices applied to sales and activity management, as well as actions aimed at improving the energy efficiency of companies, will also be subsidized.
The subsidies will be awarded by competitive competition, and each beneficiary may receive a maximum aid of 9,000 euros (companies with more than ten workers), 6,000 euros (up to ten workers), and 3,000 euros (up to five workers).
Portilla has framed this aid in one of the strategies deployed by the Santander City Council to promote economic activity and employment in the city. Thus, he recalled that, since the pandemic began, almost 20 million euros have been made available to companies, entrepreneurs and the self-employed in Santander.
