The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has collaborated with the Town Hall of Santa María de los Llanos in the expansion and improvement of the local office.
The Board delegate in Cuenca, María Ángeles Martínez, has visited the municipality to learn about this action together with the Provincial delegate of Health, Mari Luz Fernández, and the Mayor of the same, Ovidio González.
María Ángeles Martínez has indicated that ‘it is necessary to bet on improving the health and social infrastructures in the municipalities, as it is one of the keys we have to face the demographic challenge. ‘
For this reason, he recalled that a few weeks ago the regional Executive signed a agreement with the Cuenca Provincial Council to improve more than fifty local clinics in the province.
The delegate of the Board has indicated that today a commitment of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha with the municipalities, claiming that proof of this is the Law of economic, social and tax measures in front of the Depopulation and for the development of the Rural Environment that will arrive “soon to the regional Courts for its definitive approval”.
