Santa Cruz City Council renovates the pavement of the La Granja Park calisthenics installation | Radio Club Tenerife | Present

The Santa Cruz City Council has renewed the pavement of the La Granja park calisthenics facility, within the plan to remodel the sports facilities in the five districts of the city. On this occasion, the Public Services area has carried out the change of an area of ​​170 square meters, to install a continuous rubber flooring, with an investment of 20,000 euros.

The first deputy mayor and mayor of Public Services, Guillermo Díaz Guerra, accompanied by the councilors of Sports and the Salud La Salle district, Alicia Cebrián and Carlos Tarife, respectively, came to check the completion of this work, which has been carried out taking advantage of the stoppage due to the restrictions in the level of health alert 3. A representation of the users of this facility also attended.

The first deputy mayor, Guillermo Díaz Guerra, pointed out that “the calisthenics area of ​​the La Granja park in the Salud-La Salle district is one of the most used and deserved a reform, especially in the pavement, which from the Public Services area of the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife we ​​have renewed and improved ”.

For her part, the Councilor for Sports, Alicia Cebrián, commented that “the objective of the sports area of ​​Santa Cruz is that more and more people are doing physical activity. For this, it is necessary to provide the city with sports equipment, which is of good quality and offers the benefits that citizens are looking for ”. To which he added that “we are doing it, for example, with the calisthenics modules that we are implementing in the city.”

Finally, councilor Carlos Tarife indicated that “we have been able to listen to the suggestions of the young people who carry out this sport. We hope that soon they will be able to go back to practicing what they like, not only for being able to compete but mainly for the benefits that sport brings to health ”.
