The Posten commercial shows how Santa Claus visits lonely Norwegian Harry every year. During the annual visits, Santa falls in love with the man. Santa’s heavy workload prevents him from making time for Harry. But this year, he’s counting on the postal service to help him deliver Christmas gifts. Thanks to Posten, Santa can finally make time for Harry after a long wait, and the two share a romantic kiss.
The festive ad in which Santa Claus comes out was conceived on the occasion of the approaching 50th anniversary of the decriminalization of homosexuality in Norway.
The ad has been clicked nearly 750,000 times on Posten’s social media channels since its launch on November 19.
