Santa Clara Presents Three Final Proposals for New Club Symbol: Members to Vote at General Assembly

Santa Clara presented, this Friday, the three finalist proposals for changing the symbol of the Azorean club. The three final proposals will now be put to a vote by members at the Club’s General Assembly.

The chairman of the General Assembly, Eduardo Medeiros, thanked all participants, informing that expectations were exceeded, as “154 proposals were presented”, whereas in 2020 there were only 15.

“We had a lot of difficulty in choosing due to the quality and number of proposals, but clarity, simplicity, objectivity in practical application, and the fact that the brand corresponds to an identity prevailed. It is necessary to have its own identity and a brand. A club, a SAD, a future in unity”, he assumed.

If the new emblem is approved by the General Assembly, the symbol will be applied from the next season onwards.

“It is necessary to explain the importance of a new emblem. First of all, because of national and international representation. It is very important to have a new symbol and a new brand, which is exclusive. It must be a light, simple, objective symbol, which represents history but also project the future and have the diaspora. Above all, that all members can identify with this emblem, that it has an impact and my greatest desire is that it be a milestone in the history of Santa Clara. That we leave a legacy with a new identity and a bright future”, concluded the CEO of SAD, Klauss Câmara.
