Cinnamoroll between past and present
One year after the start of the net anime and at the dawn of the farewell of Miyuki Okumuraofficial designer of the character, Sanrio has announced that I.Cinnamoroll Animation will be available in English on the YouTube channel Hello Kitty and Friends.
Episodes will release weekly at 4pm EST. However, it is not yet clear whether the content will be dubbed in English or subtitlednor the exact debut date. However, taking into account the other videos on the channel, it is possible that it is an actual dubbing. For now however, the channel has released a official trailer without dialogues.
The anime’s release, currently underway, has begun in October 2023. Since then, the series continues to be published weekly on the official YouTube channel. In fact, last Thursday it aired 56th episode. In Japan, the anime is narrated in Japanese language without subtitles in other languages. Junya Enoki he lends his voice as the main narrator.
The plot of I.Cinnamoroll Animation it deviates from the classic story about the character’s origin, in which a small white dog descends from the sky and is greeted by a female worker Cinnamon Coffee. This new version imagines a alternate universe in which that fateful meeting does not happen. The title I.Cinnamoroll play on a double meaning: The “I” represents both the English personal pronoun “I” and the Japanese word “ai” (love). The central theme of the series, in fact, is the emphasis on the importance of take care of your body and mind.
Cinnamoroll is no stranger to the world of animation. In 2007 he was the protagonist of the film Cinnamon the Movie, while in March 2023 it launched a dedicated YouTube channel, which also includes the previous animated series Cinnamon Anime Damon.
With the arrival of the English version of I.CinnamorollSanrio therefore continues to expand the global appeal of its lovable character, making it accessible to an audience ever wider.
