Sanremo 2024 Final: Angelina Mango Crowned Winner with Record-Breaking Viewership

SANREMO — The Sanremo 2024 final, which crowned Angelina Mango the winner, was followed on Rai1 (from 9.27pm to 1.59am) by an average of 14 million 301 thousand viewers, equal to a 74.1% share.

The first part of the Sanremo final, from 9.27pm to 11.31pm, obtained a 70.8% share with 17 million 281 thousand spectators; the second part, from 11.34pm to 1.59am, obtained 78.8% with 11 million 724 thousand spectators.

Last year, following the epilogue of Sanremo 202 and Marco Mengoni’s victory, there were 12,256,000 spectators for a 66% share. The first part (9.25pm-11.54pm) attracted 14,423,000 spectators for a 62.7% share. And the second (11.58pm-1.59am) 9,490,000 spectators for 73.65%.

In 2022 the last evening was followed by 13 million 380 thousand spectators, equal to a 64.9% share. The first part of the evening was followed by 15 million 660 thousand spectators, with a share of 62.1%. The second part, however, obtained a share of 72.1% with 10 million 153 thousand spectators. It was the best figure since Amadeus took over the reins of the festival and in general of all the other festivals since 2000.

In 2021, the final was watched by 10 million and 715 thousand spectators, equal to a 53.5% share. The first part of the evening attracted 13 million and 203 thousand spectators in front of the television screen, with a 49.9% share. The second part instead 7 million 730 thousand people, with a 62.5% share.

In 2020, however, the last evening of the Sanremo festival was followed by 11 million 476 thousand spectators, with a 60.6% share. The first part of the final which saw Amadeus as artistic director of the singing competition for the first time had 13 million 638 thousand spectators glued to the TV with a 56.8% share. The second part with 8 million and 969 thousand spectators, equal to 68.8% share.

The most watched closing night of the Festival ever was in 1987 with 18,300. 000 spectators and 77.5% share.
