Ocoyoacac, State of Mexico, June 1, 2023 – As a key company in the sector, Sanofi is generating a significant impact in Mexico by providing the country with industrial strength through a investment in pharmaceutical infrastructure of approximately $3,500 million pesos in the last 5 yearswhich has allowed it to guarantee essential medicines and vaccines for the country, in addition to offering a stable and permanent source of employment.
In its industrial complex, are produced more than 200 million units of medicines and vaccines, 85% for domestic consumption and 15% for export to Latin America and Asia. In addition, it has promoted a paradigm shift employment in the manufacturing field, increasingly diverse and inclusive.
Sanofi has three production plants and a distribution center in the State of Mexico, with the latest technology, export capacity and at the forefront of sustainability, social impact and governance. This infrastructure makes it possible for Sanofi’s medicines and vaccines to be present in practically half of the country’s population, that is, almost 60 million people in Mexico.
In the second edition of the Sanofi Horizons 2023 seriesleaders from the three industrial sites discussed the contributions that make Sanofi the leading company in the pharmaceutical sector in Mexico, with its portfolio of prescription medicines, vaccines and self-care products that covers at least 60 million people.
