Sanofi and GSK vaccine starts clinical trial in Colombia

The National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance, Invima, reported that it endorsed the protocols of the French pharmaceutical company Sanofi Pasteur and the british laboratory GSK for the start of phase III clinical trials in the country of the vaccine against vivid-19.

After approving the phases I and II, that evaluated the safety and efficacy of the drug, the following studies are available in seven research centers in the towns of Bogotá, Cali, Floridablanca (Santander), Barranquilla, Soledad (Atlántico), Chía and Girardot (Cundinamarca).

For this purpose, these laboratories need around 2,500 volunteers over 18 years of age. And those interested in participating should contact the Foundation’s research centers North University Hospital, located in Soledad, Atlántico; Clínica de la Costa Ltda., In Barranquilla; the Center for Studies in Pediatric Infectology, in Cali; the Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia, in Floridablanca, Santander; and the Medical Care and Research centers in Bogotá, Chía and Girardot.
