Sanju Samson on a legendary trick; Hitting a century in history
Malayalam superstar Sanju Samson is performing brilliantly for India D in the Duleep Trophy. Sanju shone by scoring a century against India B. Sanju scored 106 runs off 101 balls. 12 fours and three sixes were born from the Malayali superstar’s bat. In the second innings, Sanju scored 45 runs off 53 balls.
After scoring this century, came a big performance for the Rajasthan Royals skipper. Sanju walked towards the achievement of becoming the third Malayali player to score centuries in first-class cricket. This was Sanju’s 11th century in first-class cricket. Sachin Baby who scored 18 centuries is the first in this achievement. Rohan Prem is second with 13 centuries.
After five long years, Sanju scored a century in first-class cricket. Sanju had celebrated a century against Bengal in 2019. Sanju scored 116 runs for Kerala in the match held at Thuumba.
Meanwhile, Sanju appeared in two matches of the last T20 series against Sri Lanka. But in these two matches, it was a disappointing performance from the Malayali star. He got out for zero runs in both the matches against Sri Lanka.
Sanju was unable to secure a place in the ODI series against Sri Lanka that was held after this. Hence, the Malayalee superstar will aim to make a comeback with a good performance in the Duleep Trophy.
Fans are hoping that Sanju will be included in the Indian squad for the T20I series against Bangladesh. The T20I series against Bangladesh will be played from October 6 to October 12 after the two Test matches.
