Kerala team led by Sanju Samson won the Ranji Trophy match against Bengal. After scoring 363 runs in the first innings, Kerala scored 151 runs and took eight wickets of Bengal. At the end of the second day, Bengal were 172/8 in the first innings. They are still 191 runs behind Kerala’s first innings score.

While Sachin Baby and Akshay Chandran shone for Kerala in batting, it was Jalaj Saxena who single-handedly destroyed Bengal in bowling. Kerala will aim for their first Ranji win against Bengal this season.

Jalaj Saxena who scored 40 runs was another player who shone in Kerala batting. Due to their excellence, Kerala reached the best first innings score of 363. Shahbaz took four wickets for Bengal.

Bengal got off to a good start in the first innings. Tumba then saw them being bowled by Jalaj Saxena who were at a strong position of 107/1 at one stage. Saxena took back-to-back wickets to take them to 151/8. The last seven wickets were taken by the player himself. They were 172/8 at the end of day two.
