The Ministry of Health has promised to “study” a restructuring of the map of health centers in response to a proposal from representatives of the Galician Council of Medical Associations, with whom they will meet again “soon” to discuss the matter.
This was anticipated by the Minister of Health, Julio García Comesaa, in a speech offered this Tuesday evening at the Xunta offices in San Caetano, in Santiago de Compostela, after a meeting of about three hours with the representatives of the medical colleges that the Present also the president of Galicia, Alfonso Rueda.
The Council of Doctors has transferred “short, medium and long-term” solutions for primary care in the face of the lack of doctors currently suffered by the Galician service of Sade (Sergas).
When asked if the restructuring proposal involves closures or transfers of centres, the minister limited himself to replying that it was “the Council that made the proposal”, while the Administration will undertake to “study” it.
