While the spooky season is now over, publisher Forthright Entertainment and developer Blood Eater Games have announced that their collaborative horror game Sanguivore: Twenty Below will be available in Early Access on December 1, 2023 on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The game tasks players with completing a series of escape rooms of increasing difficulty and size while avoiding and escaping the clutches of the terrifying Sanguivore monster (which initially takes the form of a vampire, but will be expanded to other monsters in the future).
Featuring both single-player and co-op play with up to four friends, the game offers four distinct areas, each with their own challenges, and four unique escape routes to choose from. As you complete levels, you’ll be rewarded with experience and shards that can be used to unlock special survivor perks that will aid in the battle against the blood-eating beasts. There are also collectible cards scattered around each level that will provide additional challenges in subsequent runs.
We’re told Blood Eater hopes to fully launch the game in 2024, but will rely on Early Access for now to continue refining and gathering feedback on the game.
