Rep. Sang-ho Woo of the Democratic Party, who declared a run for the Seoul Mayor’s by-election in April next year, suggested that the’Party vs. Party’ merge with the Open Democratic Party.

On the 29th, Rep. Woo said on his Facebook page, “In order to protect President Moon Jae-in, we must forget about the past and become one big.”

Rep. Woo argued, “If the Democratic Party and the Open Democratic Party unite, not only will it rise from the simple ground map, but also synergy of supporter unity will occur,” he argued. “It could be an opportunity to break through the crisis.”

In the Open Democratic Party, Rep. Kim Jin-ae has declared a run for the mayor of Seoul.

Rep. Woo mentioned the’platform unification’ proposed by Ahn Chul-soo, president of the National Assembly Party, and emphasized that a strategy to counteract this would be necessary, saying, “If the unification of opposition parties is achieved, it will be a real threat.”

In addition, Rep. Woo said, “It is a sign that the president is taking the current situation seriously,” and “the Democratic Party should also step forward to overcome the crisis,” regarding the expected reorganization and reorganization of the Blue House secretary office this week.
