Actress Sandrine Bonnaire has been the patron of the 22 V’la le polar festival in Pornic since 2022. This is the association The thriller with all the sauces that has organized the event since its creation in 2019 based on an idea by Jean-Marc Bloch, former boss of the BRI, chief of staff of the judicial police department at 36 quai des orfèvres or even former director of the judicial police in Versailles. The TV presenter of the show Unsolved decided to to bring together two worlds with this festival : that of fiction and that of reality with this event which is both cultural, fun and informative. The aim is to share with the public “the passion that drives the various players in justice and the police by bringing them together for debates and at the same time bringing together novelists and authors of detective films with real actors from reality”.
This year, the central theme of the 22 V’la le polar festival, which began on August 14 and ended on August 18, was La Peine. As every year since 2022, the actress Sandrine Bonnaire has agreed to be the godmother of the Festival and crossed paths with Romain Puértolas who is currently performing in The Traitors on M6. The former police officer was present in Pornic as an author, including How I found Xavier Dupont de Ligonnèsa work of fiction for which he is also preparing a second volume. Romain Puértolas and Sandrine Bonnaire were photographed separately at the opening of the Festival which took place at the restaurant of the Château de Pornic with the traditional signing session of the novels presented. Many crime writers, forensic science experts, criminologists, lawyers and magistrates made the trip for the occasion.

Conferences, round tables, theatrical performances and film screenings completed this busy programme. Pascal Bresson, author of numerous comic strips, Jean-Francois Pasquès, former winner of the Prix du Quai des Orfévres for his novel The Last Witness, Gilbert Thiel, former chief investigating judge at the Paris TGI, who notably investigated the Simone Weber and Guy Georges cases, the serial killer from eastern Paris and many other high-profile criminal cases, were also there. And that’s not all!
Dominique Simonnot, general controller of places of deprivation of liberty, former journalist at ReleaseBruno Clément-Petremann, director of the Santé penitentiary center in Paris, Richard Marlet, former divisional commissioner, head of the Judicial Identity Service at the Paris Police Prefecture, Michel Mary, crime reporter, columnist in the show Don’t touch my post and former journalist at Detective but also, Charles Diaz, former Police Commissioner and author of numerous works on prestigious Police services, also distinguished themselves during the Pornic Festival.
