Sandra Portmann takes over the presidency of the cultural association Ermitage
Vreny Gander takes over the finances of the club in Beckenried, Stefanie Schaller is in charge of marketing.

“Culture doesn’t just fall into our laps like ripe fruit. The tree must be tended conscientiously if it is to bear fruit.” With this quote from Albert Schweitzer, Simone Konrad opened the general assembly of the Kulturverein Ermitage Beckenried. Almost 60 members accepted the invitation of the board. The introductory quote symbolizes the great work that the board and the members of the working group of the cultural association are doing. So Simone Konrad was able to look back on another year with many events in the Hermitage. The cultivation of culture in Beckenried mentioned in the quote was honored last year with the culture promotion prize of the canton of Nidwalden. But also at the two-day art market in autumn, as well as the other art exhibitions, concerts, film and cabaret evenings, many fruits could be harvested.
Board members re-elected
Board members Nicole von Holzen, Music working group, and Cinzia Gualandi, Art working group, were re-elected. After 16 years, the actuary Kathrin Tanner has given her resignation from the board. She hands over the office to Damian Landolt. Regina Durrer has also resigned. The Marketing department will therefore be taken over by Stefanie Schaller. Claudia Bless will also support the extended board in the area of marketing.

For Simone Konrad, this was the last GM as President after five years. Sandra Portmann has been on the board for a year and is taking over the office of President. This frees up the task of finances, which is handed over to the new board member Vreny Gander. The departing board members were all greeted with warm applause. It was gratifying that all positions could be filled quickly. That speaks for a friendly club and a well-organized board.
The first events in 2023 have already taken place. This year’s program again includes two exhibitions, various concerts, film, theater and cabaret evenings. Next up is the Stanser Musiktage at the end of April in Beckenried. Afterwards, the artist Sabine Amstad from Beckenried will exhibit in the cultural space. Special mention should also be made of the free matinee concert on Sunday morning, June 25, with Elritschi. (p/mu)
