The son of the icon of Italian cinema reveals for the first time on TV the illness that took away his mother in just a few months: “When she came here to Very true for his latest interview she had hip pain, so we convinced her to have surgery. In the checks before the operation she was diagnosed with advanced stage cancer in both lungs, she had metastases in the brain.”
The disease took Sandra Milo away in three months: “We took her home because it was what she wanted. I held her hand until the last moment, when she left I was with her. I wet her lips because he could no longer drink.”
