Sandra Bullock admits what no one else says about turning 60 and being a Hollywood actress

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA.- Following her husband’s illness and death, the American actress had been away from the media spotlight for two years, but she will soon be part of the cast of the suspense film ‘Vigilance’.

According to CINEMANÍA, in 2023, Sandra Bullock suffered a hard blow after her husband, photographer Bryan Randall, died at the age of 56 after three years battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Her husband’s illness caused the Oscar-winning actress to distance herself from film and television, adding to the stress she suffered from an excessive workload.

On July 26, Bullock turned 60 and did so with great news for her fans, her return to the cinema with the thriller Vigilance and negotiations to return in the sequel to Practical Magic. In light of this return to public life, the American actress participated these days in the television program Today with Hoda and Jenna, where she confessed what no one dares to do about celebrating a birthday in Hollywood.

Bullock did so to celebrate the birthday of the host of this program and her great friend, Hoda Kotb, who also blew out 60 candles. “I had so many brilliant and fun ideas prepared for this message, but I am so tired. Tired because I have had to climb that mountain before you, leave the ground prepared for you and for you to see what things are like at this age,” the American began her message.

“It’s weird because people seem to want to scare us about what it’s going to be like when we get to this age. It turns out it’s great. It’s pretty amazing,” the Gravity star said. “I have a railing up here to look out over the view. It’s pretty nice,” the actress added. Bullock continues to break the mold about stereotypes of growing up in the Hollywood industry.

The actress also took the opportunity to praise the presenter, which could very well be a message to herself. “It’s incredible what you do and how you have to change your ways every day, how you navigate your goodness, even when you find the opposite. How you take care of everyone and keep them safe, and how human you are,” said the actress.

The truth is that the support of her friends has been fundamental in recent years for the actress’s mourning, who has lived through some of the worst years of her life, as well as that of her two children, little Louis and Laila, whom she adopted with Randall.

The American actress’s latest work came in 2022, with the films The Lost City and Bullet Train, where she demonstrated why she remains one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
