Chairman of the PPP Election Winning Body (Bappilu) as well as Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno meet the elites PKS last week. He talked about the importance of collaboration in developing the country.
“Last week when we were in Bekasi, (discussed) how collaboration builds the country and how we can build communication channels. For us that is very important because friendship, God willing, will bring sustenance and that is what we will focus on,” Sandiaga said after a meeting with the Commission X DPR at the RI MPR/DPR/DPD Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (30/8/2023).
Sandi did not comment much when asked whether the meeting discussed the possibility of configuring presidential and vice presidential candidates in the presidential election. He only left this matter to each chairman of the political party.
“So those options are the domain of the chairman and will be discussed behind closed doors. Because of our experience, if we discuss options in an open space it will give distortion and will confuse the candidates who are currently struggling,” he said.
“So that’s what we have said, we are istiqomah with the political cooperation that we have signed and agreed on,” he added.
Sandiaga was also reluctant to say whether or not the options for presidential and cawapres candidates were discussed in the communication between PPP and PKS. He emphasized that currently the focus is on targeting his party’s votes to boost in the election later.
“That’s his domain and he will convey it to friends, but Bappilu was asked to focus on achieving sound targets and focusing on work,” he said.
Apart from that, Sandiaga also continues to work in his position as minister to create jobs and open business opportunities for the community.
“Electoral work, work below, work in my domain to open up business opportunities, employment. Our tagline is low prices, easy work, blessed life. We must internalize this among prospective legislative candidates,” he said.
Sandiaga Meets Bendum PKS
It is known that Sandiaga met with PKS General Treasurer Mahfudz Abdurrahman at Unisma Bekasi, Friday (25/8). Both were speakers at the event.
Sandiaga admits that he is close to PKS. He said he would embrace PKS and Democrats as the discourse on a duet emerged Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan some time ago.
“We are fighting together to build the country, so I have close ties historically, personally and personally, we feel close,” said Sandiaga after the event.
Sandiaga emphasized that he would try to build the country together with various parties. He then admitted that he was currently arranging a meeting with PKS Bappilu Chairman Sigit Sosiantomo to balance the steps.
