Sandi said that the agreement was related to the 2017 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election. Anies and Sandi were officially endorsed by Gerindra and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). “That night we signed before we registered with the KPUD (Regional General Election Commission), 2016, September,” he said.
However, for the contents of the agreement, Sandi leaves it up to the party holding the copy to make it more ethical. Sandi claims he does not hold a copy of the agreement.
Sandi only said that the time agreement was needed because there had to be an agreement between the parties regarding the future direction, the matter of managing the Gerindra and PKS coalitions and the partner they were carrying, namely Anies Sandi. “I think it is more ethical to be conveyed by, maybe you can ask Pak Fadli or Pak Dasco,” he said.
Sandi refused to convey the contents of the agreement because he and Prabowo are now in the government, so a neutral party is needed to convey it so as not to be biased. Sandi also left it up to the “neutral party” to answer when he was asked whether the agreement involved an agreement so that Anies would not run as a presidential candidate.
