Sandi Says Prabowo Will Call Party Figures to Discuss Himself

Sandiaga Uno dismissed the issue that said his relationship with the Ketum of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto was tenuous. Sandiaga even met Prabowo directly to discuss a number of matters.

One of the things discussed at the meeting, continued Sandiaga Uno, was related to a lot of news and misunderstandings that occurred.

“Because we rarely meet, we are busy with each other’s ministries. He will call party figures about what I am doing, because I receive lots of invitations to visit,” Sandiaga said at Prabowo’s residence in Banyuwangi, East Java, Saturday (14 /1/2023).

Prabowo-Sandi also agreed to focus on absorbing people’s aspirations, providing solutions, contributing later on the political aspects, the party leaders and chairmen will decide.

“For this political matter, party figures gave statements. I don’t want to reciprocate through the media. Because like this (meeting Prabowo directly) good communication manners,” he concluded.

The two met for more than 3 hours at the residence of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia. Even Sandi was also treated to various banquets.

“Pak Prabowo hosted me, maybe this is our longest meeting. I was treated to Hambalang Coffee. He ate local Indonesian cuisine, he himself drank chamomile tea,” said Sandiaga.

He also explained the essence of the message to be united, not to be divided, because before our nation was divided by colonialists. As well as discussing issues of nationality and statehood.

“We agree, that we must unite, work together with patterns of acceleration, reconciliation, 3 hours of discussion that too while looking at the 3 years we have worked in the government. How is the work that has been completed, but there are still some that leave homework like the problem is that the prices of basic commodities have increased, food prices have increased, the welfare of farmers has not been felt, MSME turnover has not recovered,” he said.

Previously, Sandiaga Uno’s accusation that he was running out of tickets for the 2024 presidential election was conveyed by Chief Justice of the PPP Party, Ade Irfan Pulungan. He said, even though he is still not a PPP cadre, Sandiaga has been very aggressive in approaching PPP in order to get tickets as a presidential candidate (presidential candidate) or as a cawapres (vice presidential candidate) in the 2024 election.

“Sandiaga is the one who has a hard time and is eager to approach PPP. Currently PPP is providing the same opportunity and treatment to all presidential and vice presidential candidates as Ganjar Pranowo, Erick Thohir, Prabowo Subianto and others,” explained Ade Irfan to reporters, Sunday (8/1 ).
