Sander Berge came home to masked thieves

South Yorkshire Police confirm Daily Mirror that on Friday afternoon at 13.40 local time they were notified of a burglary where two unknown thieves broke into a property through a window and stole several valuables.

Sheffield United confirm that the victim of the burglary was their Norwegian record signing, and that they now “support Sander as much as possible”.

According to TV 2’s information, Sander Berge came home from Sheffield United training on Friday when masked thieves ran away from his apartment.

TV 2 is informed that the thieves took with them valuables worth several hundred thousand kroner.

Sander Berge has not responded to TV 2’s inquiries about the case.

The day after the break-in, the Norwegian national team profile showed his ability to shut out non-sporting problems when he reduced for Sheffield United in overtime of the play-off match against Nottingham Forest.

Sheffield United were down 0-2 when Berge stabbed the ball into goal in overtime.

The goal gives the Yorkshire club better conditions before Tuesday’s return match where it will be decided whether Sheffield United will advance in the qualification for the Premier League promotion.

Berge has shown brilliant form for Sheffield United in the season sprint. When the team secured the Premier League play-off with a 4-0 victory over Fulham in the match before the break-in, the Asker boy delivered both goals and goal-scoring assists.

With four goals and two assists in the last 12 games, Berge has made himself attractive in front of this summer’s transfer window, where he is highly relevant for being sold to a bigger club.
