sanctions hit Russia – UNIAN

However, in the Russian Federation they continue to assert that all problems can supposedly be solved, it’s just “a matter of time.”

Russia is facing the consequences of sanctions that “hit” the aggressor country in all sectors. Thus, Russian production has already faced a shortage of buttons and paper.

This was stated by the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Elvira Nabiullina.

She claims that difficulties have begun in many garment industries in the Russian Federation. It’s all about the buttons, which have now become scarce for Russians.

Enterprises that are now unable to purchase fittings are trying to look for new suppliers. But, as Nabiullina herself noted, the issue of “restructuring logistics” can take several months. What the Russian Federation will be doing all this time and what they will come up with as “import substitution” for buttons – she did not indicate.

In addition, the Russians may be left without paper. For its production, according to Nabiullina, Russian wood was used. However, paper cannot be produced without foreign bleaching chemicals.

“Now manufacturers are switching to alternative suppliers, developing their own chemicals, but this also takes time,” said the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
