On the evening of April 8, the European Union published the fifth package of sanctions against Russia. The blacklist includes the heads of Russian state corporations and oligarchs, as well as banks and companies.

The EU has imposed personal sanctions against the head of Sberbank German Gref, the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. Businessmen were also blacklisted: Igor and Boris Rotenberg, son of Suleiman Kerimov Said, Vladimir Bogdanov (Surgutneftegaz) and others.
In total, in the new package, the EU imposed sanctions against 217 individuals. A total of 1,091 Russians are under restrictions.
In addition, the EU has frozen the assets of four Russian banks:
- VTB;
- “Novikombank”;
- “Sovcombank”;
- “Opening”.
Russian state corporations also fell under the sanctions:
- “Russian cars”;
- United Motor Corporation;
- State Transport Leasing Company;
- a number of shipbuilding, military-industrial, engineering and transport companies.
In total, 18 Russian companies were included in the fifth sanctions package. In general, 80 organizations from the Russian Federation are under EU restrictions.
