According to sources of the publication, the government continues efforts to conclude deals with alternative energy suppliers. The Cabinet of Ministers of the country is confident that they will be able to solve the problems with logistics within the next six to seven months.
According to the German Ministry of Economics, the share of Russian oil in the total volume supplied to Germany since the beginning of the war has decreased from about 35 to 12%.
Now the authorities are left to decide how to get enough oil from alternative sources for a key East German refinery.
The refinery in Schwedt, which supplies fuel to Berlin International Airport, as well as most filling stations in the capital and nearby state of Brandenburg, will have to receive energy through the German Baltic port of Rostock, the report says.
