The national general strike proclaimed for tomorrow, 29 November 2024, will also affect the environmental sector.
The Sanb therefore invites all citizens to cooperate fully, adopting behaviors that respect public hygiene. In particular, residents are asked not to display waste from door-to-door collection: in the town center this evening, in the historic centre, industrial area, scattered houses and hamlets in the morning and afternoon of tomorrow 29 November.
In the event of massive participation in the strike, the Municipal Collection Centers will remain closed.
According to the Self-regulation Code, during the strike, the following essential services are provided:
1) collection of separated urban waste produced by school users; public and private canteens of welfare institutions; hospitals, nursing homes and therapeutic communities; railway station.
2) cleaning of markets, equipped rest areas, areas of great tourist and museum interest;
3) collection of syringes, disinfestation, rodent control and disinfection for urgent cases and upon notification from the health and/or public security authorities;
4) emergency response unit.
At the end of the strike, the waste collection and street sweeping services will be reactivated, within the limits of the operational potential of men, vehicles and systems the following day.
Full reactivation is guaranteed within the second day of the end of the strike.
For other services the company ensures emergency interventions possibly ordered by the authorities.
