Two days ago, Inter celebrated the centenary of the birth of Peppino Prisco, a former lawyer for the Nerazzurri club. Born in Milan on December 10, 1921, he was part of the Inter family for 50 years.
Coinciding with Inter against Cagliari, the home crowd paid tribute to Prisco, hailed as the “greatest Inter fan of all time”. 20 years ago, on December 12, 2001, he passed away and this night he was remembered at San Siro.
A banner welcomed the teams during the warm-up: “It’s been 20 years since you left us, but your love for Inter will never die.”
An impressive choreography followed the kick-off, with Inter fans calling: “PEPPINO PRISCO FACCI UN GOL” [Peppino Prisco haznos un gol]. The chants of “There is only one Inter” and “Peppino Prisco score us a goal” boosted the Nerazzurri players before the start of the match.
