The blue and white team from San Salvador became the champion of the Apertura 2024 tournament of the Major Basketball League and thus revalidated its title with the two-time championship and undefeated by beating the Salvadoreñas 44-68, at the Inclusive Sports City in Ayutuxtepeque.

It is a beautiful family with whom we all celebrate birthdays together, where if one has a problem she knows that she counts on everyone to help her. As in the family, we also have ups and downs, good days and bad days, but in the end we are always united and we do everything for the family we have built,” added Romero.

Furthermore, the most outstanding basketball player in the final brought out the virtues of the rival team that finished as runner-up and said that the Salvadorans always had something new to offer with a very “offensive” game; She praised the coach and acknowledged that at times they made things difficult for the now champions, which is why she stressed that they were “worthy” of being in the final.

Romero finished with 262 points in total and in fourth position in the general table of the most important players, with 108 assists that made her the highest in the championship, 71 rebounds, 48 ​​steals and third in the general table and with 5 locks.

“What has happened is very good for them, the players deserve it. We also have to congratulate Salvadoreñas because they have done a great job with very young players,” said the coach of the two-time champion team, Panfet.

Eduardo Escalante, coach of Salvadoreñas, highlighted how promising the tournament was despite the defeat with which they ended the championship and assured: “our project is with very young players, sub-18 and 21, and they have shown a promising evolution, “Let’s remember that our goal is for them to have selection projection.”
