San Raffaele, Fials requests the Prefecture to convene the discussion table for the Ceglie Messapica rehabilitation center | newⓈpam.it

FIALS invites the Prefecture of Brindisi to urgently convene a discussion table regarding the serious situation affecting the San Raffaele rehabilitation center in Ceglie Messapica. On 8 October 2024, a note was sent requesting an urgent re-adjournment of the table, following the meeting on 5 September 2024. Unfortunately, a convening date has not yet been received, which is a cause for concern, especially in light of of the opening of the procedure for reducing staff due to cessation of activity, which took place on 4 October 2024. Furthermore, on 15 October 2024, President San Raffaele announced that it will no longer be possible to guarantee the full payment of salaries to staff, an announcement which has generated a climate of uncertainty and concern among workers, who find themselves facing a critical situation. For these reasons, FIALS requests a courteous response to previously forwarded requests and the convening of a discussion table at the Prefecture. It is essential to address this emergency in a timely manner to ensure the job stability and dignity of the employees involved. Not only that. Fials expresses strong doubts regarding the procedure by which the ASL of Brindisi announced a competition for various professional profiles for the Ceglie Messapica Rehabilitation Centre. Doubts regarding the real ability of the competition to guarantee the full eligibility and employability of all San Raffaele employees.
