Marsicovetere (PZ) – The handover ceremony for the new beds at the “San Pio da Pietrelcina” hospital in Villa d’Agri di Marsicovetere will take place tomorrow at 11.00. The Psychiatry Department – managed by the Basilicata ASP – will be equipped with an additional 8 beds, 2 of which are reserved for the treatment of neuropsychiatric diseases of childhood and adolescence.
The councilor for health of the Basilicata Region Rocco Leone, the president of the Regional Council Carmine Cicala, the mayor of Marsicovetere Marco Zipparri, the general director of the Provincial Health Authority (ASP) Lorenzo Bochicchio, the general director of the “San Carlo” Hospital Giuseppe Spera, the director of the “Stella Maris” Mario Marra Foundation.
With the instrumental equipment relating to the new pavilion – whose works were completed in 2019 – a new piece is added to the redevelopment and strengthening of the hospital, with the main aim of making it an innovative structure from a technological and organizational point of view , as well as capable of responding to the needs of health care, medical care and specialist interventions.
