San Marcelino wants its third title in the LFP – – 2024-04-07 03:22:24

The Beach Soccer League (LFP) 2024 returns this weekend and one of the teams that is looking forward to the start of this new season is San Marcelino, which last season won its second women’s championship in this league and will now seek get the third one.

Heriberto Parada, coach of the current women’s champion, assured that they have worked hard on physical and mental preparation for this campaign.

“We are preparing to make a good presentation in this new edition of the league, we are working on our weaknesses to be able to strengthen those gaps that we have. We are improving the physical part that cannot be neglected on the beach, we know the demands we will have in this edition of the LFP,” explained Parada.

In order to defend the title at all costs, the strategist confirmed that for this year they will have a couple of reinforcements that will help strengthen the defensive and attacking side.

“We have three reinforcements for this tournament: Karla Sorto, who arrives from Corral de Mulas; Dalia Castro, from Costa del Sol; and María Fernanda Rosales, a junior debutant. The level of play that they have will contribute a lot to the team to face the league, each of them has good skills and together with the experienced ones like Durán, Tamacas and Ramos, we will have a more solid team,” said Parada.

Regarding the changes that the league will have this season, Heriberto explained that he sees it as a positive factor that will help give greater competitiveness to the teams that do not advance to the final stages.

“Our expectations are high because with this new format there are more teams and more games, therefore the competition becomes stronger. We have to look for new strategies to solve many things, both in the financial part and in the sporting part. Furthermore, it is very interesting because each team is being given the opportunity to continue playing in a second category and thus continue improving,” said the San Marcelino coach.

For his part, Jaris Canales, representative of Joya Grande, one of the debuting teams, assured that the Santiago Texacuangos team is excited for the beginning of this new adventure in the Beach Soccer League.

“As a team it is a great opportunity to participate in the Beach Soccer League and for the boys it is a window to make themselves known in this modality. We have had several meetings with other teams that participate in the league as part of our preparation for the first day,” said Canales.

“Our goal as a team is to be among the best in the group and thus be able to compete in the first division. We also want to learn what is necessary to be able to continue improving in this discipline,” said Jaris.

The teams that will debut in this new season of the LFP are, Joya Grande, both from the department of La Paz with representation in both branches, and Arcos del Espino (Usulután) and El Cuco (San Miguel) and La Herradura (La Paz) with presence in masculine.
