Around 150 vehicles participated in the breast cancer awareness caravan, held this afternoon in the main streets of the city, from public and private health institutions to social organizations such as the Rotary Club.
The organizer of the event, Gabriela Rivas, reported that the idea is for the people of San Luis to join the fight against breast cancer, and prevent this disease.
“We know that breast cancer is the main cause of death in women in Mexico and if we promote it in Mexico, we can do a lot for our patients”. She added that she is happy that San Luis joins these types of events, it is to raise awareness, it is a positive impact on society.

Apart from the caravan, there will be a medical fair, in the City Forest, where there are 22 medical institutions that will provide pertinent information on what breast cancer is, symptoms, diagnoses, detection methods, risk factors, with the so that the community knows what the disease is and let them know that there are institutions dedicated to detecting this pathology.
People are not fully informed about this disease, although they have heard it mentioned a lot, which is why the event, since the intention is to inform everyone, not only women, but also men and the trans population.
Information is sent to people by all possible means, be it the Internet, the media, social networks, even word of mouth.
“The truth is, they have helped me a lot, I am talking about doctors of all specialties, in Social Security, the ISSSTE, the Ministry of Health, everyone joined this activity, public and private institutions, to promote breast cancer awareness. Mom, that’s a lot.”
It should be noted that this is the third time they have done it, although this time, they were surprised with the influx of people to participate, since the previous year there were quite a few.
