Detroit once again took the lead in the final period, but San Jose came back. Two minutes before full time, Tomas Hertl equalized, played by Granlund.
Granlund also got a passing point for Zetterlund’s 4–2 goal in the second period.
In the last twelve games, Granlund has accounted for three goals and twelve assists. He is the fifth most effective player in the last two weeks in the entire NHL.
The overtime goal against Detroit was Mikael Granlund’s 500th NHL career score. He has now accounted for 148 goals and 352 assists.
